Color Your World
Think ahead and back at the same time. Remember driving around late last winter and early spring and seeing all the African daisies, poppies, daffodils, iris, etc. in full bloom? Many of you then came to the nursery and wanted to buy them, only to be disappointed that you were too late to plant them. In fact you found out that they really needed to be planted in the fall! So this is a reminder: if you want to have spectacular beds of wildflowers, or have them scattered in your desert landscape. If you want to have bulbs sprouting up and blooming in your pots, and or flower beds. If you want to have a fence covered with sweep peas. The time to plant is now. As with all our flower and vegetable planting, proper soil preparation is a must. Be sure to ad plenty of compost like Omni, gypsum to help soften the soil, and fertilizer to get the plants off and running! So if you can think ahead, hope we helped you do so, you won’t be disappointed this spring. In fact you might just be the envy of the neighborhood!!
