As we get warmer and warmer there is no better way to: Save Water, Cut Down on Weeds, and Reduce Heat Stress to Plants than mulching! I like to say it is like putting a wet cool cloth on the back of your neck. Shaded, cool, moist soil is just like that for a plant. Apply a 2-4 inch layer of decomposed bark, shredded bark, compost, straw, almost anything or an organic nature will work and since you’re not incorporating it into the soil it doesn’t need to be composted. Pictured here is Western Red Cedar Bark. The advantage to that product is that Cedar also helps repel certain insects.
So you want healthier happier plants, a lower water bill, less weeds and insects-get some Western Red Cedar Bark Mulch on today.Don’t just stand there- Get Your Mulch On!!
