When did you plant your first tree? Who taught you or who did you watch do it? The Harper Boys had a great teacher (yes we’re in the business ) when it came to how, when, where, and why to plant trees. We learned that planting trees was not only important at customers homes, but at our own as well. We also learned they were important for the community. I don’t know how many “living Christmas trees” were donated to the schools we went to.Every time I drive by Tonalea grade school We’ll remember Dad and his trees! Perhaps you didn’t have quite the same experience- it’s not too late to start. Why not be the one to begin the legacy of planting trees or shrubs or vines that someone will be remembered by. Oh at the same time your creating beauty, value, oxygen…… Let’s Plant Something! Happy Father’s Day!

It’s officially hot out now, and it would be a good idea to have a cheap emergency pump/air stone on hand in case your circulation system goes down in the middle of one of those 110 degree days or, more importantly, during the 100 degree nights. Unfortunately, we can’t always can get help to you right away, and if there’s no circulation at night when the plants are exhaling there’s a danger of suffocating your fish, especially if they’ve gotten quite large.
Another item of concern as the weather gets hot: bacteria storage. You MUST keep your beneficial bacteria and enzymes indoors — and NOT in the garage or on the back patio! Any temperature over 90 degrees will kill it, even if exposure is fairly short. Then you’re simply wasting money, and we all hate to do that. Proper storage practices are the answer: cool, dry location. Need A Cool Looking Landscape? Click Here!
